Teenage years can be an exciting time of self-discovery, gaining independence, and ultimately transitioning from childhood into adulthood. But being a teenager also comes with unique struggles that are often overwhelming, especially if we try to face them alone. Add to that the challenge of being a Christian teenager…and life gets a little more interesting. The Remedy Youth is a group for high school and junior high students who want to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus. We understand that it is easy to get caught up in the desires, worries, and junk of our world and culture. We also understand it is easy to feel bored and disconnected in churches (where the focus tends to gravitate toward children and adults) and to feel unaccepted, unappreciated, and unrelateable. Here at The Remedy, we want to change that. We believe in being real, relational, and relevant. For that reason, we strive to provide a place where students can be themselves and be around other authentic people who don’t act like they have everything figured out, but who also refuse to stop seeking the practical truth about who God is and what He wants for our lives.

The Remedy Youth thrives on the message of 1 Timothy 4:12, which states, "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in life, love, faith, speech and conduct." Our goal is to help students dig into scripture to take ownership of their faith, to navigate life issues, and to break down the walls that keep us from having genuine, loving relationships with others and with God. We also seek to take what we learn out into our schools and community to be an example for others, make an impact on our world, and make Jesus famous.

Remedy Youth meets on Wednesdays at 6.30p at the church.
